This is a community event, and is an all ages event. Everyone is welcome! Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children under 5 are free. Children 5 and older will need to have a valid ticket to enter.
The event will take place on the practice fields of Blakeslee Stadium on the MSU Campus in Mankato, MN. There is no fixed seating and chairs will be allowed.
The event will take place Saturday, September 16, 2023.
Gate open times, artist set times, and more details will be announced later.
Re-entry is allowed until 4:00 pm. After 4:00 pm, no re-entry is allowed. Before leaving the festival grounds, be sure to get a stamp from the entry staff as your admission ticket cannot be scanned twice and you will not be allowed to re-enter if you do not have the proper re-entry stamp.
YES! There is no fixed seating and chairs will be allowed. All chair bags are subject to search by security before entry to the event. If you can, leave the bag in the car to speed up the security inspection line.
YES! There will be festival style food vendors, food trucks, and beer & liquor sales. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
No. We do not allow outside food and beverages at the event. We will have food and beverage vendors available.
No. Unlike other events on campus, we do not allow tailgating in any of the lots prior to or after the festival. Violators will be asked to leave and risk forfeiture of their admission.
Bend of the River is a rain or shine event! Stay tuned to social media the day of the event for updates if there is rain in the forecast.

Bend of the River is an accessible event held on level, grassy terrain and asphalt. We encourage all guests with limited mobility to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs and scooters. We will not be providing wheelchair or scooter rentals.
ADA Parking is available for all guests that meet the following requirements: ADA placard or plate prominently displayed. The person to whom the placard or plate is issued to must be present in the vehicle, as a driver or passenger. Please note: It is against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required ADA credentials or to fraudulently use someone else’s credentials in order to gain access to ADA parking spots.
Service animals are permitted throughout the festival grounds; however, this does not include emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals. Pets are not allowed and will be turned away. Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials and allowed within the festival footprint. NO PROFESSIONAL VIDEO EQUIPMENT ALLOWED ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS.
